Senior Business and Data Analyst

Job Description As a Business Analyst at one of the largest retail companies in the UK, based in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple projects for the client in an Agile environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Actively participating in delivering outcomes alongside Product Managers - Conducting source system discovery and data analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness - Collaborating with other technology teams to understand domain tech initiatives and their impact on domain data - Building domain knowledge to comprehend business team requirements - Documenting descriptive metadata for new and existing data in the assigned domain - Assisting Product Managers in maintaining backlogs and user stories - Validating data post unit testing to ensure it meets business requirements - Providing support during UAT phase and post-production with business queries and data analysis - Supporting Engineering team in production landscape design based on data understanding - Documenting all aspects of the data products built, including data management - Utilizing SQL and conducting data lineage analysis Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 8 years of relevant and strong Business Analyst experience - Experience in business analysis for Big Data Hadoop applications and proficiency in writing SQL queries Additionally, it would be nice to have experience working with Agile Methodology.
