Job Description
Role & responsibilities:A Senior Business Analyst with 4 to 9 years of experience typically has a significant level of responsibility and may be involved in both tactical and strategic aspects of projects.1. Requirements Gathering & AnalysisEngage with stakeholders to gather business requirements and understand the underlying needs.Document business requirements (BRDs, FRDs) clearly and concisely.Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of the business challenges.Analyze the gathered information to define and prioritize business needs.2. Process Mapping & ImprovementMap out business processes using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Bizagi.Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to streamline workflows.Develop process flow diagrams and ensure that systems and processes align with business goals.3. Solution Design & DocumentationCollaborate with technical teams (IT, developers) to design solutions that address business needs.Create use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for system and software development.Document functional specifications, including high-level designs and detailed workflows.Ensure that solutions are designed to fit within the existing system infrastructure and are scalable.4. Stakeholder ManagementAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.Manage expectations of both business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.Communicate project status, issues, and changes to key stakeholders effectively.5. Project Support & ExecutionAssist in the implementation of solutions by working closely with project managers, developers, and QA teams.Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and review sessions to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet the business requirements.Monitor the success of implemented solutions and make recommendations for continuous improvement.6. Change Management & TrainingHelp in the change management process, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes or systems within the business.Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems or process changes.Monitor post-implementation support and resolve issues as necessary.Preferred candidate profile:1. Educational BackgroundBachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related fields.Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA or Masters in Business Analytics are a plus but not mandatory.2. Work Experience4 to 9 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with exposure to both business and IT environments.Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and documentation.Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Hands‑on experience in supporting projects through their full lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.Experience in stakeholder management and client‑facing roles.Background in data analysis or familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).3. Technical SkillsProficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Lucidchart.Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and querying databases.Familiarity with CRM, ERP systems, and enterprise applications (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle).Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with Agile project management tools.4. Certifications (Optional but Beneficial)Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA).Agile Certifications (Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Certified Practitioner).Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) if involved in process optimization.TOGAF or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) for those working in IT or data‑driven roles.5. Soft SkillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering business value.Leadership and teamwork skills, with experience working in cross‑functional teams.Stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across business and IT teams.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
