Senior Applications Analyst Technical ApplicationsOverviewSenior Applications Analyst Technical ApplicationsResponsibilitiesSupport major business functions and provide in-depth IT technical expertise to maintain the applications support environment and ensure requests for support are handled according to agreed procedures.Investigate operational issues, problems, and requests for support, coordinating with colleagues and stakeholders to seek effective solutions; analyze root causes and identify options for resolution.Respond to support requests by modifying systems, developing workarounds, manipulating data, reconfiguring systems, changing operating procedures, training users, producing documentation, or escalating requests to development teams or software suppliers.Monitor progress of requests, keep users and stakeholders informed, and take corrective action to minimize delays.Perform moderately complex software modifications independently or with others; specify user interfaces, inputs, reports, validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access, security, audit controls, recovery routines, and contingency procedures.Carry out routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of Business Applications, Database Management Systems, and related Tools & Technologies.Coordinate with colleagues and stakeholders to specify data, data objects, and information flows that align with the needs of the business.Define, document, and execute medium-scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project.Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues which might impact the success of the project.Prepare and maintain realistic project schedules (showing tasks and dependencies) and quality plans and track all activities against them, providing regular and accurate reports as appropriate.Ensure compliance with information security policies and standards. Assess configurations and security procedures for adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, policies and procedures.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or other relevant discipline.8 years of IT experience (ideally within Oil & Gas industry).Competent knowledge in core skill applications, tools, and techniques.Experience in e PTW, Pi Historian, Aveva Mobile Operator is highly preferred.Conversant with relevant IT national and international standards.Demonstrated experience in project management.Demonstrated experience in IT support environment.
