Senior AIS Testing

Job Description As a Senior AIS Testing Professional at Siemens Kalwa Works Airoli, Mumbai in the Medium Voltage Switchgear Manufacturing industry focusing on AIS Panels (3.3kV 36kV), you will play a crucial role in the testing and technical execution of MV AIS panels. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing routine & type testing of MV AIS panels as per IEC/IS standards - Conducting IR, CRM, HV withstand, functional & interlock tests - Troubleshooting testing issues and supporting resolution - Reading SLD, wiring diagrams, protection schemes - Verifying CT/PT polarity, relay logic, and trip circuits - Ensuring readiness of panels before FAT / customer inspection - Demonstrating FAT testing to customers In addition to testing responsibilities, you will be expected to prioritize safety, quality, and compliance by: - Ensuring compliance with EHS, PTW, HIRA processes - Following work instructions, quality manuals, and testing protocols - Maintaining calibration and records of testing equipment - Participating in ISO, EHS, and factory audits - Supporting LEAN / productivity improvement initiatives For senior engineers, supervisors, and managers, additional team and operations responsibilities include: - Allocating testing tasks and managing daily output - Supervising test engineers and technicians - Reviewing test procedures, reports, and documentation - Interfacing with customers during witness FAT - Tracking KPIs, quality issues, and site feedback - Mentoring junior engineers and supporting cross-functional teams - Leading improvement projects in safety, productivity, or quality Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Full-time only) - Experience Range: 520 years in AIS / Switchgear Testing - Technical Skills: MV switchgear testing procedures, Protection relays & control schemes, IEC 62271 / IS standards knowledge, FAT / factory testing exposure, Electrical drawings & logic understanding, Panel interlocking & protection systems, Experience with testing instruments & documentation tools Joining our team will provide you with the opportunity to work on critical power distribution equipment, exposure to large infrastructure and industrial projects, career growth across technical & leadership tracks, and a stable manufacturing environment with long-term prospects.
