Together, we inspire students to lead with purpose and make a positive impact on the world.</p><p>We at GEMS International School, Al Khail are now welcoming applications from experienced<b>Secondary ELL Teachers</b>, with opportunities available for August 2026.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.</li><li>Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures individual strengths and learning styles.</li><li>Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted, and students requiring additional support.</li><li>Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student learning and engagement.</li><li>Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and personalised support.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB‑aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.</li><li>Contribute to the wider life of the school through co‑curricular activities, events, and community initiatives.</li><li>Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student growth and wellbeing.</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to continuously enhance teaching practice.</li><li>Uphold the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.</li></ul><h3>Skills</h3><ul><li>A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in ELL/English specialism.</li><li>A minimum of 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience teaching Secondary ELL, ideally within an IB Curriculum School (preferred but not essential).</li><li>Experience teaching MYP&DP is preferred but not essential.</li><li>A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry based teaching.</li><li>The vision, energy, commitment, and educational philosophy to contribute to the continued success of a leading flagship GEMS school with an international student body.</li><li>A desire to grow professionally and work within a collaborative, forward‑thinking community.</li></ul><h3>What we offer</h3><p>All positions attract an excellent remuneration package, including competitive tax‑free salary, individual fully furnished accommodation, free schooling for 1 child, private medical insurance, annual airfares to country of residence and end of Service Gratuity.</p><p>GEMS Teachers also have free access to our loyalty app<b>GEMS rewards</b>www.gemsrewards.com which provides significant savings on day‑to‑day life in the UAE.
