OverviewSecond MateWe are seeking a Second Mate to join our team in El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Second Mate, you will be responsible for assisting the Captain in the navigation and operation of the vessel. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Captain with navigation and operation of the vesselSupervise and train crew membersMaintain accurate records of the ship's activities, including cargo and passenger informationMonitor weather conditions and adjust course as neededPerform safety checks and drills regularly to ensure compliance with regulationsOversee loading and unloading of cargoCommunicate effectively with other crew members and port authoritiesQualificationsPrevious experience as a Second Mate or similar roleValid certifications for sea travel (STCW)Strong communication skills in EnglishAbility to work well in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsPhysical fitness for duties such as lifting heavy objects and climbing laddersAccommodation will be providedThis position is open to both experienced professionals and freshers who meet the requirements.
