Second Mate

Second Mate - Maritime Position (UAE)We are seeking a highly capable Second Mate to join our maritime team in El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Second Mate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessel. This position is open to all nationalities, but preference will be given to Africans and Egyptians.Responsibilities:- Assist the Captain in the overall management and navigation of the vessel- Oversee and supervise deck crew members- Maintain and update navigational charts and equipment- Perform regular safety checks on the vessel- Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to route- Communicate with other vessels and port authorities as needed- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocolsRequirements:- Must hold a valid Second Mate license/certificate- Proficient in English, both written and spoken- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively- Prior experience on board a ship is preferred but not required- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekendsBenefits:- Competitive salary package- Accommodation provided- Opportunities for career growth within the company- Medical insurance coverageThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to start their career in the maritime industry.
