Assistant Second MateWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Second Mate to join our team in El-Fujairah, UAE. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to start their career as a seafarer and is willing to work hard and learn new skills.Responsibilities:- Assist the Chief Officer and Captain in the safe navigation and operation of the vessel- Stand watch on the bridge during designated periods, maintaining a vigilant lookout for any hazards or other vessels- Maintain accurate records of all activities related to navigation, including weather conditions, ship's position, speed, and course- Conduct routine checks of all safety equipment and report any defects or malfunctions to the Chief Officer- Assist with mooring and anchoring operations as needed- Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas on the vesselRequirements:- Must hold a valid Second Mate license or certificate issued by an approved maritime authority- Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)- Preferably from African or Egyptian nationality- No prior experience required but must be willing to undergo training and learn on the job- Willing to live onboard the vessel with provided accommodationIf you have a passion for the sea and are looking for an exciting career in the maritime industry, then we want to hear from you!
