Job Description Role Overview: As a skilled programmer with a passion for breaking things, you are being sought for the role of SDET 4 / Senior Staff SDET at Black Duck Software, Inc. This position requires you to be a developer first, specializing in quality. Leveraging your exceptional programming abilities, you will be responsible for creating sophisticated testing frameworks, developing complex test automation, and contributing to the codebase to ensure the highest quality standards are met in all releases. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and executing test plans to identify defects and ensure high-quality software releases. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the E2E testing team in developing and implementing automated testing strategies and frameworks. - Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts for end-to-end testing using industry-standard tools and technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and enhancements. - Mentor and guide team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance. - Build and integrate AI agents to enhance the automation framework and improve testing efficiency. - Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. - Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall product quality. - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and AI, and apply relevant innovations to the team's processes. - Prepare and present reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders. - Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools. - Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust). Qualification Required: - Education: B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Background & Experience: 10 - 14 years of experience in Quality Assurance engineering Test automation roles. Proficiency in Java, Docker, Kubernetes, REST/SOAP testing, CI/CD pipelines, performance testing tools, security testing principles, and monitoring systems. Familiarity with SSO, OAUTH2, OpenID, or SAML, RBAC concepts, and SQL databases. Experience in developing contract tests, contract test frameworks, and tools for monitoring service health, alerting, metrics. Ability to lead a small team, work creatively and analytically, produce high-quality software, and provide the best experience for customers. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.
