Reporting LineHead of Human Risks Management & Due DiligenceRole OverviewThe Screening Officer is responsible for conducting professional background checks and employment screenings in accordance with internal procedures, client requirements and applicable regulatory frameworks. This role focuses on CV verification, employment, and education checks and other integrity screenings ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance at all times.The position is operational and detail‑oriented, requiring strong analytical skills, discretion, strong ethics, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesBackground Screening & VerificationsConduct end‑to‑end background checks, including:Employment history verificationEducation and qualification verificationCV consistency and gap analysisReference checksIdentity verificationPublic record and open‑source checks (as required)Validate information using reliable sources and approved methodologies and toolsIdentify discrepancies, red flags or inconsistencies and document findings clearlyCase Management & ReportingManage multiple screening cases simultaneously while respecting deadlinesProduce clear, structured and factual screening reportsEnsure all findings are evidence‑based, objective, and defensibleEscalate potential risks or concerns to management when requiredCompliance & Data ProtectionEnsure full compliance with:Data protection regulations (GDPR or equivalent)Internal information security policies (ISO 27001 aligned)Compliance requirementsHandle sensitive personal data with the highest level of confidentialityFollow documented processes for data storage, access control and retentionClient & Internal CoordinationLiaise with internal teams to clarify screening requirementsProfessionally follow up with candidates or third parties for verification purposesMaintain accurate case records and audit trailsQualificationsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceEducationBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Criminology or a related field (Relevant experience may compensate for formal education)Experience14 years of experience in:Background screeningPre‑employment checksHR operations, compliance or risk‑related rolesPrior exposure to regulated environments (financial services, luxury corporate or consulting) is a strong advantageSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and analytical mindsetExcellent written communication skills (clear, factual, neutral tone)High level of integrity, discretion and professionalismAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyComfortable working with confidential and sensitive informationGood understanding of CV structures, employment practices and verification methodsProficiency in Microsoft Office / case management systemsLanguagesEnglish: Fluent (written and spoken)One additional language in French, German, Arabic or Russian is a mustAdditional Information#LI‑OnsiteRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFull‑time#J-18808-Ljbffr
