School NurseThe British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a School Nurse to join a well‑established supportive team in a highly successful school.The closing date for applications is 20th March 2026.Provide basic first aid and emergency nursing care to students and staff that is within the scope of School NurseConduct health screening and assessmentsEnsuring the safe storage and administration of medication within the clinic as per school and government policyManage and maintain student health records following the school and government policyCollaborate with parents and teaching staff to develop and implement individualized student care plans for students with medical conditions including but not limited to epilepsy, diabetes and severe allergiesWhen required manage the daily nursing needs of students with chronic illness / medical conditionsProvide instruction on the use of emergency medication that may be requiredMaintaining First Aid Kits throughout the school and for use on school tripsEnsure that First Aid supplies are appropriate and available within the clinic and schoolAdminister medication as per school and government policy while following good practice standardsCommunicate with parents regarding their child's injury/illness as deemed clinically appropriate at the time of assessmentMaintain accurate records of injuries, illness and near misses in student files on the clinic's electronic medical record system and the school's incident reporting system (Sphera)Ensuring that all relevant professional qualifications are on date and notifying the Operations Manager / Health and Safety Manager expeditiously of expiry datesIn collaboration with teaching staff informing parents of health concerns and providing guidance on the management of health issues e.g. head lice, chickenpox and other common childhood illnessesOrganisation and filing of clinic files (policies, forms, vaccination file, health screenings and other required forms when required by ADEK or DOH)Perform other clinic duties as instructed by the Senior School Nurse.About Our SchoolThe British International School Abu Dhabi is a highly successful growing school with a committed and inspirational team of teaching professionals at its heart.
