For our children to be a community of lifelong learners who are citizens of the world proud of their national heritage.This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading school group.The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.ResponsibilitiesHelp students enhance personal, social, and academic growth and well beingMonitor the progress of individual studentsMake contact with parents to discuss student behaviour or support needsTake steps to prevent bullying and support victims of bullyingHelp students develop job search skills, such as resume writing and interviewing techniquesHelp students understand and deal with social, behaviour, and personal problemsDeliver therapeutic intervention based on the need of the individuals and provide referral to external services as neededEmphasize preventive and developmental counselling to provide students with life skills needed to deal with problems before they worsen and to enhance students’ personal, social, and academic growth.Provide special services such as conflict resolution classes; identify cases of domestic abuse and other family problems that can affect a student’s development.QualificationsMinimum QualificationDCD License as School Counsellor (only)Bachelor of CounsellingMinimum ExperienceMinimum of 2 years experience in school counselling or other counselling experience requiredJob Specific Knowledge & SkillsAppropriate license to carry out student counsellingStrong interpersonal skills with both students and parentsDemonstrable organizational skillsStrong desire to help others and should be able to inspire respect, trust, and confidenceMust possess high emotional and physical energy to handle the array of problems addressedMaintains the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism#J-18808-Ljbffr
