Regent International School is judged by the Dubai School Inspection Bureau (DSIB) as a ‘Very Good’ school with many outstanding features and ‘Outstanding’ in our British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection in 2019.We present an exciting opportunity to join us in further developing our highly popular, dynamic and innovative school.About youWe seek to appoint an outstanding School Counsellor for an August 2026 start.Job PurposeThe school counsellor will work closely with the school’s wellbeing and leadership team in planning and implementing a counselling system for students for the assigned school or assigned phases across the school.ResponsibilitiesProvide high‑quality counselling intervention to students experiencing a wide range of emotional problems ensuring equality of access.Provide support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the school.Liaise with staff to ensure that the pupils receive the required support.Contribute to safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.Conduct case consultations to school personnel and parents.Train teachers and parents on counselling‑related issues.Identify, devise and deliver specialised guidance programmes for students who need additional help in social and emotional development.Deliver therapeutic intervention based on the need of the individuals and provide referral to external services as needed.Build deep and meaningful relationships with students, staff and parents and be able to facilitate and lead positive outcomes in all situations.Candidate specificationThe candidate should hold a degree in counselling or psychology or psychotherapy with a minimum of four years’ experience in a whole‑school counsellor role primarily with secondary experience.The candidate must be well‑versed in dealing with a range of student needs across various phases of the school.The successful candidate will be a self‑starter and be able to create and deploy effective systems in the assigned phases of the school.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Our OfferExcellent tax‑free salaryFurnished accommodationRelocation allowance (applicable to overseas appointments only)Medical insurance for selfAnnual air‑ticket a
