SCADA Control Room Engineer

Job SummarySCADA Control Room Engineer with hands‑on experience in GE e‑terra suite (e‑terrascada, e‑terraplatform, e‑terrasource, etc.) to support the day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the SCADA system in a mission‑critical control room environment. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring reliable and secure operation of SCADA applications, network communication, and data accuracy across field devices and control centres.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor real‑time SCADA systems based on GE e‑terra products.Maintain SCADA database, RTU/IED point mappings, and real‑time data processing.Respond to and troubleshoot alarms, communication failures, and system anomalies.Interface with field teams for issue resolution, testing, and commissioning of new sites.Perform routine SCADA system health checks and performance tuning.Coordinate planned outages, upgrades, and patching in collaboration with IT and vendors.Collaborate with engineering teams for system expansions, upgrades, and cybersecurity measures.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience with GE e‑terra suite (preferably e‑terrascada, e‑terraplatform, and e‑terrasource).Strong understanding of SCADA architecture, protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870‑5‑101/104, OPC, etc.), and control room operations.Experience in real‑time system monitoring, data acquisition, database modelling, HMI design, and alarm management.Knowledge of power system operations (transmission/distribution grid monitoring, substation automation, etc.).Familiarity with networking and cybersecurity standards and practices in SCADA environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience integrating SCADA systems with EMS/DMS platforms.Hands‑on working experience in GE e‑terra products.Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Python, PowerShell, etc.).Exposure to cloud‑based SCADA or digital substation technologies.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesExecutive OfficesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Larsen & Toubro by 2x.#J-18808-Ljbffr
