Job Description SAP BASIS Consultant (Migration) Deployment: Onsite / Hybrid Location: Pan India SAP Experience: 6+ Years Notice Period : Immediate to 30 Days ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to manage SAP system administration, migration, and implementation projects across landscapes. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end BASIS activities including system installation, upgrades, migrations (especially to SAP S/4HANA), and ensuring system performance, availability, and security. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform SAP system installations, configurations, and upgrades (ECC & S/4HANA) Execute system migrations including OS/DB migration, Unicode conversion, and S/4HANA conversions Manage SAP landscape (DEV, QAS, PRD) and transport management system (TMS) Handle system refresh, client copy, and backup/recovery activities Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability Perform kernel upgrades, patching, and SAP support package implementation Manage user administration, roles, authorizations, and security compliance Work on SAP HANA database administration (if applicable) Coordinate with functional and technical teams during implementation and go-live Prepare technical documentation and provide support during audits REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 6+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration Hands-on experience in at least 2 end-to-end implementations and 1 migration project Strong experience in SAP system installation, upgrade, and patching Expertise in OS/DB migration and S/4HANA conversion (SUM/DMO) Good knowledge of SAP HANA database administration Experience in performance tuning and system monitoring tools Strong understanding of transport management and landscape architecture Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus MIGRATION & IMPLEMENTATION EXPERTISE SAP ECC to S/4HANA system conversion Landscape transformation and system consolidation Unicode conversion and database migration (DB2/Oracle to HANA) Cutover planning and execution for go-live Handling downtime optimization and near-Zero Downtime (nZDM) approaches PREFERRED / GOOD TO HAVE Certification in SAP BASIS or SAP HANA Experience with SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM Exposure to SAP Fiori, NetWeaver, and SAP Router configuration Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python)
