Job Description
This role is strictly for experienced large-scale exhibition sales professionals.We are seeking a high-performing Sales Manager with a proven track record in international exhibition stand sales and sponsorship sales to drive revenue growth within the events & exhibition sector.⚠️ Please apply only if you have experience in:Large-scale international exhibition sales.Conference or venue-based commercial sales.JOB PURPOSEDrive exhibition revenue by proactively selling stand space and associated commercial packages targeting existing and new clients across the sector to achieve agreed sales targets, maximise floor occupancy and contribute to the overall commercial success and growth of the event.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAchieve and exceed individual sales revenue targets through the sale of exhibition space, sponsorship, and related products.Proactively identify, target, and secure new exhibitors, sponsors, and strategic partners within the event's sector.Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients to maximise retention, upsell, and repeat business.Execute structured sales campaigns using calls, virtual meetings, and face‑to‑face engagement at industry events.Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast, ensuring timely reporting and data integrity within the CRM system.Negotiate commercial terms, prepare proposals, and close contracts in line with company policies.Collaborate with marketing, operations, and conference teams to align sales activity with event positioning and delivery.Provide market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, customer needs, and emerging sector trends.Support floor plan development by allocating space strategically to optimise revenue and exhibitor mix.Ensure high levels of customer service throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting to on‑site delivery.Contribute to rebooking campaigns during and immediately after the event to secure future revenue.Represent the organisation professionally at industry functions, exhibitions (local and international), and client meetings to strengthen brand presence.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.Experience in large-scale international exhibition sales, sponsorship sales, conferences or venue-based sales.Experience in the German and/or European Exhibition Industry.SKILLSB2B Sales & Negotiation - Ability to sell high-value exhibition space and close complex commercial deals.Prospecting & Lead Generation - Skilled at identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities.Relationship Management - Builds long-term client partnerships with senior stakeholders.Commercial Acumen - Understands pricing, margins, ROI, and revenue optimisation.Presentation & Proposal Development - Produces persuasive pitches and tailored commercial proposals.Pipeline & Forecast Management - Maintains accurate sales tracking and forward revenue visibility.CRM Proficiency - Effective use of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce for reporting, tracking, and data integrity.Market & Industry Awareness - Understands the energy sector landscape and customer needs.Communication Skills - Clear, confident written and verbal communication across cultures.Time & Territory Management - Prioritises activity to maximise productivity and target achievement.Resilience & Persistence - Maintains momentum despite rejection and long sales cycles.Collaboration - Works effectively with marketing, operations, and conference teams to deliver results.To apply, please apply directly here or send your CV via DM or email:Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
