Job DescriptionDevelop a Safety Management System for the ammonia-fuelledship for crew (shipboard) and office (shore-based) for 3 newbuild ammonia Aframax tankers. This will mostly entail - Carrying out a gap assessment of the clients existing SMS against the 12 sections of the ISM Code identifying updates needed in each section. Based on the gaps draft parts of the revised SMS while some elements will need to be developed by the client. A key focus will be procedures for handling ammonia (NH) and integrating hazards and risk mitigation measures from the Risk-BasedCertification (RBC) process into the SMS for both routine and emergency operations. Our client is party to the Maritime Technologies Forum which has published 2 documents one is a generic SMS for Alternative fuels and one thats specific for NH3 fuel. These could be leveraged.
