Safety Officer

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety protocols and procedures on construction sites.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement preventive measures.Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and industry best practices.Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks for site staff and workers.Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and contractors to promote a culture of safety.Ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Monitor and enforce safety measures during site activities, including lifting operations, scaffolding, and equipment use.Qualifications and SkillsExperience:5-10 years of experience as a Safety Officer, with at least 6 years in the UAE construction industry.Proven track record in ensuring compliance with safety standards in site projects.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety measures.Proficiency in preparing safety reports and documentation.Soft Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with workers, contractors, and management.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.Educational Background:Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.NEBOSH/IOSH certification is mandatory.First aid certification is an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
