RTU Maintainence Engineer

Job SummaryAvanceon is looking for an experienced RTU Maintenance Engineer to support industrial automation and SCADA projects in Qatar. If you enjoy hands-on work with RTUs, PLCs, and control systems, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of RTU, PLC, and SCADA systems(Water, Wastewater and Infrastructure projects)Troubleshoot and resolve automation system faults to minimize downtimeConduct system health checks, backups, firmware updates, and configuration managementModify and optimize RTU logic as per operational needsIntegrate RTUs with PLCs and SCADA systems using standard protocolsPrepare maintenance reports, documentation, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reportsMaintain and troubleshoot control panels, instrumentation, and field devicesMaintain technical documentation and maintenance recordsSupport engineering teams and contribute to continuous improvementRequirementsMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in RTU, PLC, and SCADA maintenanceBachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation EngineeringHands-on experience on TBOX RTUs and PLC platforms: Schneider M580, Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Siemens S7-300/400/1500, PCS7Strong troubleshooting and site coordination skillsFamiliarity with industrial communication protocols, Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, DNP3Capable of working independently on-site, supporting 24/7 operations, while maintaining high safety, quality, and operational standards.Valid Qatar Driving LicenseWhy Avanceon?Work on large-scale automation and infrastructure projectsExposure to advanced RTU, PLC, and SCADA technologiesCareer growth within a leading multinational automation company#J-18808-Ljbffr
