Rotating Equipment Repair Technician / Machinist

A Snapshot of Your Day We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Repair Technician with a strong background in machining and rotating equipment repairs such as (turbo and reciprocating compressors, steam and gas turbines). The ideal candidate will have hands on expertise in operating horizontal lathes, boring machines, and small milling machines, combined with the ability to perform precision inspections, generate technical drawings, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop. How You'll Make an Impact Operate horizontal lathes, boring machines, and milling machines for precision machining tasks. Has the knowledge to perform complex repairs on turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, and gas turbines. Execute reverse engineering for worn or damaged components. Conduct detailed dimensional inspections of parts using precision measuring tools. Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation. Generate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for components and assemblies. Support reverse engineering projects and contribute to design improvements. Collaborate on process improvements and workshop development initiatives. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all activities. Utilize MS Office for reporting, documentation, and communication. What You Bring Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or Machining with 10+ years of experience in rotating equipment repairs and machining operations. Proven ability to operate horizontal lathes, boring machines, and milling machines. Strong knowledge of turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, and gas turbines repair processes. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Familiarity with reverse engineering techniques and precision measurement tools. Excellent understanding of safety standards and workshop best practices. Multi tasking and adaptability in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a creative mindset for process improvement and innovation.
