Rigger Supervisor

We are seeking a competent and experienced Rigger Supervisor to oversee all rigging and lifting operations at the project site. The Rigger Supervisor will be responsible for managing rigging crews, coordinating with crane operators and lifting engineers, and ensuring all lifting activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and client safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate all rigging and lifting operations at the site.Ensure all rigging work is performed in accordance with approved lifting plans, procedures, and safety regulations.Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lift meetings with rigging teams and crane operators before starting work.Inspect all lifting equipment, slings, shackles, hooks, and accessories to ensure certification and good working condition.Assign and monitor the activities of riggers, signalmen, and helpers during lifting operations.Liaise with the Lifting Engineer / Crane Operator to verify lift plans and load calculations.Stop any unsafe lifting operations and take corrective actions immediately.Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, inspection reports, and equipment certifications.Ensure that the work area is properly cordoned off and safe zones are maintained during lifting.Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to riggers to improve competency and safety awareness.Qualifications & ExperienceValid Rigger Supervisor / Lifting Supervisor Certificate (Qatar Energy approved or equivalent such as TUV or LEEA).Minimum 5 years of experience in rigging and lifting operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of lifting plans, load charts, and safe rigging practices.Familiarity with API RP 2D, BS 7121, or other recognized lifting operation standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Must be physically fit and safety-oriented.Experience in oil & gas / shutdown / heavy construction projects preferred.Skills RequiredStrong safety awareness and hazard control.Ability to lead and motivate rigging teams.Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities during critical lifts.Excellent communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.Proficiency in reading and understanding lifting drawings and documentation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
