<div><p>As a Resilience Development Training (RDT) Instructor, the individual is responsible for the instruction and development of cadets at CLIENT, with the overall aim of equipping cadets with the personal skills and leadership competencies required to complete officer training at a single service college. The RDT program provides cadets with the opportunity to develop resilience in an environment with real consequences in the presence of perceived or real risk.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Introduce RDT to CLIENT cadets and staff within the limits of their qualification.</li><li>Coach cadets as part of their leadership development programme.</li><li>Facilitate cadet resilience development through individual and group reviews.</li></ul><h3>Instruct the following activities</h3><ul><li>Rock climbing.</li><li>Kayaking and canoeing.</li><li>Overnight expeditions.</li><li>Low and high ropes and Command Tasks.</li><li>Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance to the CLIENT Training Development Team and CLIENT RDT Chief Instructor (CI) as required.</li><li>Support the CLIENT RDT CI in developing the training program and training materials.</li><li>Work a 40-hour week with occasional overnight camps and weekends.</li><li>Be capable of working all year round in the harsh environment of the UAE.</li><li>Produce detailed written reports and appraisals.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments of RDT activities.</li><li>Carry out personal training to remain fit and current.</li><li>Review activities and extract key learning points.</li><li>Be conversant with all emergency procedures.</li><li>Carry out administrative tasks related to RDT.</li><li>Carry out any additional tasks as directed by the CLIENT RDT CI or CLIENT chain of command.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications / Attributes</h3><ul><li>UK Mountain Training RCI/SPA*</li><li>MBCUK – Level 2 – Technical Trail Leader*</li><li>Wilderness First Aid Certificate*</li><li>Able to work in a multi-cultural environment</li></ul><b>Or equivalent from another international awarding body.</b><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Proven leadership and management skills</li><li>Experience working with foreign nations, especially Middle Eastern cultures.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
