Resident Engineer - ITS Field Deployment

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role you will manage the construction supervision of Traffic Monitoring and Information Collection System.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily construction activities and progress to ensure successful execution.Manage and direct project teams, including specialists, engineers, inspectors of works, and quantity surveyors.Ensure all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to quality standards.Coordinate and collaborate with contractors and other construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and other documentation.Manage Health & Safety and Environmental Protection standards during construction.Handle project-related issues, mitigate risks, and provide proactive solutions to problems that may arise.Monitor and manage technical and financial proposals, evaluate constructability, and deploy technology on-site.Ensure effective communication among the project team and external stakeholders.Coordinate with client, PMC, contractor, and concerned authorities.Required SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.Minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience, with at least 7 years in a managerial or technical lead role in large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAE.Demonstrated experience in handling technical and financial proposals, evaluating constructability, technology deployment, and solving technical challenges during construction.Prior hands‑on experience with ITS field systems, including design, configuration, integration, and successful deployment/commissioning on similar infrastructure projects.Experience in managing Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of deep underground structures and similar large-scale projects.Proven experience in managing construction projects.Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with other construction projects in the vicinity and consult with statutory bodies for acquiring consents and licenses.Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Arabic language skills are an advantage.Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of engineers and technical staff.Proactive problem‑solving ability and capacity to manage work across multiple areas on‑site.Computer skills are mandatory, with proficiency in relevant software tools for project management and construction tasks.Desired SkillsStrong understanding of project risk management, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks.Knowledge of local regulations (Dubai/UAE) and the ability to navigate permitting processes.Experience working on fast‑track projects and managing complex, high‑pressure timelines.Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and provide innovative solutions in a timely manner.Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels regardless of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
