Resident Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completionProvide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and technical staffCollaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are metConduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standardsAnalyze and resolve complex engineering problems that arise during constructionPrepare and review project documentation, including reports, change orders, and technical submittalsImplement and maintain quality control and safety procedures on-siteManage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficientlyCoordinate with local authorities and ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and regulationsIdentify and mitigate potential risks to project successFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project teamQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience in construction engineering/management, with 10+ years preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) registration highly desirableValid driver's licenseProven experience in managing engineering and technical staffStrong knowledge of construction management, inspection, and field support techniquesFamiliarity with local and federal funding requirements in the UAEExcellent project management skills with a track record of successful project deliveryProficiency in construction software and project management toolsIn-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and construction standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiencyAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentInnovative mindset with a customer-focused approach to project deliveryExperience with quality control and safety procedures in construction projectsEqual Opportunity StatementAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in your potential and are here to help you achieve it.
