Research Assistant

OverviewA Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University with Dr Adnan Agha. The successful candidate will be engaged in a clinical research project focusing on investigating the presence and features of Monogenic Diabetes. The position is for an enthusiastic young clinician/scientist with an interest in clinical research who can work with patients with minimal supervision. The working hours are during the week, including evening shifts.ResponsibilitiesClinical data management: maintaining databases and reviewing patient records.Conducting patient-facing interactions/interviews as part of the primary responsibilities.Liaising and coordinating with patients; preparing and maintaining detailed records and logs.Extracting data from electronic records and preparing summary reports of all research findings using appropriate software.Performing other job-related duties as required.QualificationsMinimum Qualification: The applicant must have a clinical degree and/or experience and must have a Good Clinical Practice certificate. Candidates with an additional educational qualification such as a Masters in research will be preferred.
