Job Description Role Overview: As the Reporting and Accounting Manager - Group Consolidation at Unilever, you will be a part of a purpose-led business that aims to improve the lives of consumers and communities worldwide. Your role in the Group Chief Accountant's Department will involve managing external financial reporting, ensuring global financial controls compliance, and implementing accounting policies. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Group consolidation process and prepare Statement of Changes in Equity (SOCIE) accurately and timely. Additionally, you will provide critical support for financial planning & analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Lead monthly consolidation of investments through SAP Business consolidation system - Own and lead the accurate and timely preparation of SOCIE statement on a monthly basis - Support M&A accounting team for acquisitions and disposals, assess potential impact on consolidation, and provide technical support - Collaborate with finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure consistency in reporting and gather necessary information - Review monthly financial results for certain balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance with Unilever's accounting policy - Provide guidance and training to countries on accounting policies and respond to accounting and reporting queries - Assist in preparing relevant parts of the quarterly press release and annual report and accounts - Liaise with internal auditors, external auditors (KPMG), and ensure all Group control requirements are documented and complied with - Prepare and deliver training for relevant areas of expertise - Support implementation of new reporting requirements on a timely basis - Drive continuous system and process improvements - Support the line manager on ad-hoc projects as they arise Qualifications Required: - Experience in finance function, preferably accounting and reporting - Experience in Group consolidation and preparation of consolidated financial statements strongly preferred - ICAI/ACCA or similar qualification - Exposure to IFRS desirable - SAP/BCS (or other equivalent Consolidation system) knowledge desirable - Knowledge of Unilever SCOA desirable - Effective communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities Additional Details: Unilever, a purpose-led business, offers a unique opportunity to build a brighter future by bringing your purpose to life through your work.
