Regional Practice Director MENA CMUHospitality

OverviewResponsible for leading the execution of the global practice strategy for a region. This leader is accountable for growing the regional practice developing new business leveraging industry relationships establishing strong relationships in the community and cultivating the culture of HKS within the region.ResponsibilitiesActs as a key liaison between practice-driven strategy and regional execution planPartners with Global Practice Director to grow the region in a manner which is consistent with HKSs core values and purposePartners with studio office and regional leadership to further the strategic goals of the firm sector and regionDemonstrates an innovative and collaborative approach to regional strategy consistent with sector and practice direction and prioritiesOperates with ONE Firm mindset minimizes the sector and operational variables between offices in the regionManages Studio Practice Leaders and if applicable Studio Practice Managers within the regionEngages with project managers technical and conceptual teams and consultants to evaluate and improve the quality of respective work in projects within the regionPartners with studio and office leaders as a liaison between the firm leadership and staff communicating firm and regional initiatives and prioritiesActive on projects as required by relationships but should work to maintain a broader strategic view of the regional practice supporting studio leaders to deliver quality projects on behalf of the regional practiceActs as one of the primary interfaces with practice-specific clients and organizations across the regionExercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issuesQualificationsAccredited professional degree in Architecture Interior Design related degree for respective field or relevant years in education or experienceLicensure or certification in chosen field preferredTypically 15 years of experience including experience in a leadership role with demonstrated success in both project work and talent/resource developmentSignificant experience in the respective practice areaSustainable design accreditation preferredFamiliarity in the capability and benefits of design-related software preferredFamiliarity in the functionality of VisionExperience in MS Office Suite including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Teams preferredProficiency in logistics management including connecting people and resources to the right place at the right timeSuccessful track record in directing and providing leadership for the regional teams to followSuccessful track record in success building nurturing and fostering new client relationshipsExcellent presentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and developing/nurturing talentExercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issuesStrong leadership organization communication and relationship management skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeAbility to work closely with design leaders to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy and to facilitate its advancement across the firmAbility to manage team with diplomatic and collaborative leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration both internal and externalAbility to communicate in a clear concise and professional manner both verbally and in writingAbility to problem solve and apply innovative solutionsAbility to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environmentAbility to effectively meet deadlines at expected qualityTravel will be requiredIf you currently work for HKS please submit your application via the Internal Careers Portal.Required ExperienceDirector#J-18808-Ljbffr
