QBE Insurance Middle East is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority and is licensed to carry on Financial Services with or for professional clients.Regional Business Development Manager Automative Protection (Dubai/Home)The OpportunityWe have a role available within our Dubai office to deliver strategic direction across our Automotive Protection book in the MiddleEast. Responsible for developing increasing and managing Automotive Protection business according to company guidelines delegated authorities and to manage client relationships.Your new roleDelivery of new and existing business sales targets and plans to develop the Automotive Protection business in the countries that you are responsible for.Research of local markets customers distribution channels and network contacts to execute pipeline new business opportunities.Continuously monitor and ensure program progress is on target and any deviations from plan are identified and solutions implemented.Recommend and propose sales campaigns to deliver the business plan and ensure successful performance.Provide communication for development or enhancement of the productsDeliver timely decisions and problem solving solutions for customers and partners.Provide customer and market updates and other relevant input during budgeting processEstablish planning and implementing strategies to build and retain customers achieving production and profitability targets.Support the delivery of the regional marketing approach in line with the global automotive protection marketing strategy.To assess new sales opportunities together with individual country regional and global underwriting teams to ensure alignment with QBEs strategy underwriting appetite and business plan.Regularly review income and loss ratio performance on business aligning with the underwriting team to make sure it is line with business plan. If necessary take the remedial actions to ensure that we deliver on the business plan.To support the launch of new programs ensuring all terms of cover processes and procedures are implemented accurately within agreed timescales and in accordance with requirements.Ensure that all output adheres to the relevant legal compliance & regulatory frameworks and corporate policies to minimise risk to the business.Identify and implement best practice and process improvementsDevelop the portfolio in line with plan to ensure retention and acquisition of desired business.Undertake insurance product and / or sales training to business partners.May mentor junior employees.Motivate and develop the teamAbout youSubstantial work experience in automotive industry and/or affinity business and/or automotive financing or banking.Established local relationships and network within local automotive industry and/or automotive financing companies ideally in the MiddleEast.Business development skills strong interpersonal skills and leadership skillsCommunication influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to prioritize achieve targets and deadlines analytical and problem solving.Excellent communication skills with fluency in local language and English languageKnowledge of local insurance industry regulations and statutory processesWhy QBE At My BestAt QBE we want our people to feel rewarded and inspired to perform at their best thats why we have created At My Best.
