Together we are building a better world so we can all enjoy living in it.Role DefinitionCaterpillar’s Electric Power Division is seeking a Rebuild Specialist to support global aftermarket growth through the development and commercial deployment of rebuild offerings. This role focuses on shaping how rebuild solutions are defined, priced, and executed across the dealer network by combining technical knowledge with commercial experience and field engagement.The Rebuild Specialist works closely with dealer sales teams and internal partners to translate service data into practical, dealer‑ready commercial offerings that improve customer value, profitability, and lifecycle performance.What You Will DoAnalyze dealer work orders, rebuild scopes, parts content, and labor structures to identify rebuild cost drivers and commercial opportunities.Support the development and refinement of tiered rebuild and repair offerings aligned to customer needs, dealer capabilities, and lifecycle strategies.Build and maintain rebuilding pricing frameworks and benchmarks to support competitive positioning and consistent market execution.Partner with Sales, Marketing, Parts, Pricing, and Product Groups to ensure rebuild offerings are commercially viable and field‑ready.Work directly with Caterpillar dealers to support rebuild strategy deployment, offering adoption, and commercial execution.Participate in dealer workshops and field engagements to champion rebuild frameworks, pricing logic, and value propositions.Translate technical and financial rebuild data into clear insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders and leadership.Support aftermarket new product introductions and repair option launches by ensuring rebuild offerings align with enterprise growth objectives.Incorporate dealer and field feedback to continuously improve rebuild offerings and go‑to‑market approaches.What You Will HaveKnowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.Facilitates creation of the right products and services to resolve customer business issues.Fosters strong customer relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and ongoing feedback/improvement.Advises others on creating customer‑focused environments in various scenarios.Anticipates customer needs focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed expectations.Measures and observes customer satisfaction levels to ascertain and implement service improvement alternatives.Communicates and models the criticality of customer focus as an organizational strategy.Industry KnowledgeKnowledge of the organization’s industry group trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Discusses industry-specific flagship products and services.Demonstrates current knowledge of the regulatory environment for industry segment.Describes the contribution of own function as it relates to the industry segment.Participates in major industry professional associations; subscribes to industry‑specific publications.Currently works with a major industry segment and associated functions and features.Effective CommunicationsUnderstanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Reviews others’ writing or presentations and provides feedback and coaching.Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position.Communicates well downward, upward, and outward.Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.Maintains focus on the topic at hand.Value SellingKnowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services; ability to provide overall product/service value and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.Uses value‑selling techniques to successfully engage customers.Researches the customer’s industry and organization before attempting sales calls.Discusses issues and considerations regarding current value‑selling practices and recommends potential improvements.Quantifies proposed costs, benefits, and value in customer terms.Defines and documents value‑added
