Real-Time Embedded Systems Engineer for Vehicle&Energy

<div><p>This role focuses on developing<strong>low-level control systems and firmware</strong>that operate reliably in demanding real-world environments. You will work on vehicle systems, energy platforms, and distributed infrastructure — ensuring performance, safety, and scalability.</p><h3><span><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></h3><ul><li>Design and implement real-time embedded software for vehicle systems, energy platforms, and telemetry devices</li><li>Develop communication protocols (CAN bus, UART, RS485, etc.)</li><li>Build state machines and fault-handling logic for system reliability</li><li>Integrate embedded systems with cloud and edge platforms</li><li>Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing and real-time debugging</li><li>Develop OTA updates, diagnostics, and system monitoring tools</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, power systems, data systems)</li></ul><h3><span><strong>What You Bring</strong></span></h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field</li><li>3+ years experience in embedded systems or firmware development</li><li>Strong programming skills in:<ul><li>C/C++ (real-time / embedded systems)</li><li>Python (scripting, tooling, testing)</li></ul></li><li>Experience with:<ul><li>CAN bus and serial communication protocols</li><li>Real-time systems and control logic</li><li>Hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)</li></ul></li><li>Strong problem-solving and systems thinking ability</li></ul><h3><span><strong>Nice to Have</strong></span></h3><ul><li>Experience with automotive, robotics, or IoT systems</li><li>Linux-based embedded systems or RTOS</li><li>Battery management systems or power electronics</li><li>OTA update systems</li></ul><h3><span><strong>Compensation</strong></span></h3><ul><li>KES 70,000 – 120,000/month (negotiable)</li></ul><h3><span><strong>Why This Role</strong></span></h3><ul><li>Work on real-world systems at the intersection of hardware and software</li><li>High ownership and fast-paced engineering environment</li><li>Opportunity to build scalable embedded architectures</li><li>Direct impact on next-generation infrastructure systems</li></ul><h3><span><strong>How to Apply</strong></span></h3><p>Apply via our platform:<a href="#">Click here to apply</a></p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
