They ensure that the reinforcement design can withstand anticipated loads.Determining quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods: Rebar engineers determine the quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods.Supervising rebar installation and dismantling: Rebar engineers supervise the installation and dismantling of forms and concreting works.Conducting site inspections: Rebar engineers conduct regular site inspections.Ensuring materials comply with approved cutting lists: Rebar engineers ensure that materials comply with approved cutting lists.Ensuring work meets specifications: Rebar engineers ensure that work meets specifications.Rebar engineers should have a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or a related field.
