Position: Quantity Surveyor (Rail Systems)Location: Dubai, UAEEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleCRRC (HK) Co. Limited – Dubai Branch is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a major metro rail project in Dubai, with a primary focus on rail systems packages.The role is suited to a commercially focused professional who can manage project costs, valuations, and subcontract administration at execution level, while supporting effective commercial control across a complex, multi-disciplinary rail project.Working closely with the commercial, planning, and project teams, the Quantity Surveyor will ensure accurate cost tracking, timely reporting, and proper commercial administration in line with contractual and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage cost control and commercial administration for assigned rail systems packages, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and project requirements.Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections, providing accurate and timely commercial visibility to project management.Measure, value, and certify works, including preparation of interim valuations and assessment of subcontractor payments.Prepare and evaluate variations and change orders, ensuring proper quantification and supporting documentation in line with contractual provisions.Support the preparation and compilation of claims and variation submissions, including cost build-ups and supporting records.Assist in the administration of subcontracts, including preparation of subcontract agreements, commercial evaluations, and ongoing performance monitoring.Participate in procurement activities, including preparation of BOQs, tender documentation, and commercial evaluation of bids.Monitor and track project costs, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities, and reporting these to the commercial and project teams.Maintain accurate commercial records, including measurement logs, cost trackers, variation registers, and payment records.Coordinate with planning and engineering teams to align progress measurement, cost reporting, and commercial assessments.Support audit requirements and ensure all commercial documentation is properly maintained for project close-out and handover.Required Experience7–10 years’ experience in quantity surveying or commercial management within rail, metro, or large infrastructure projects.Proven experience in rail or metro projects with involvement in rail systems (e.g., signalling, communications, AFC, PSD, power systems).Strong experience working on the contractor side (EPC, systems contractor, or similar).Solid experience in cost control, measurement, valuation, and subcontract administration.Practical understanding of variations, cost reporting, and support to claims preparation.Familiarity with FIDIC contracts or similar standard forms.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost and commercial management.Good written and spoken English.Preferred ExperienceExperience on metro or railway projects within the UAE or GCC region.Experience working within multi-disciplinary rail systems environments.Exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects with complex stakeholder interfaces.Experience in joint venture or consortium project environments.Education and Professional QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.Professional membership (e.g., MRICS or equivalent) is preferred.The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and may be amended or expanded in line with project and business requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
