Quantity Surveyor MEP

We are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor in Rwanda to join our commercial team supporting a landmark airport development project. The successful candidate will manage the full commercial lifecycle of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) packages — from pre-contract cost planning through to final account settlement. Candidates with prior airport or aviation sector experience are strongly preferred.ResponsibilitiesAdminister MEP subcontracts and manage the commercial relationship with specialist subcontractorsAssess and certify interim payment applications and track cash flowManage the variation process end-to-end: identification, valuation, negotiation, and agreementPrepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and cost-to-complete (CTC) schedulesSupport the preparation and submission of extension of time (EOT) and loss & expense claimsAttend progress and commercial meetings, producing accurate minutes and action logsEnsure compliance with contract terms, project governance, and client reporting requirementsCarry out value engineering exercises with design and engineering teamsAssist in the preparation and negotiation of the final accountExperienceBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 7 years of QS experience with a strong MEP focusDemonstrable post-contract commercial management experience on MEP packagesProficiency in BoQ preparation, measurement, and valuation of M&E worksWorking knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and/or FIDIC contract suitesStrong command of MS Excel, CostX, or equivalent cost management software#J-18808-Ljbffr
