And that’s where you come in.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated<b>Quantity Surveyor</b>. The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in<b>Abu Dhabi, UAE</b>.</p><h3>Accountabilities</h3><ul><li>Ensure the monthly statement issuing, with the Project Manager, according to the project planning</li><li>Act jointly with the Project Manager in order to achieve the approval of the PPC by the client</li><li>Ensure compliance of the Progress Payment certificate (PPC) with the contractual scheme</li><li>Act jointly with the Administrative department in order to process the invoices</li><li>Ensure compliance of the Invoice with the contractual</li><li>Act with the CM during the preparation of claims and variations, giving in return the economical evaluation of the related activities (priced BOM)</li><li>Ensure the archiving of the above mentioned documents</li><li><b>Variation Management:</b>Evaluating and negotiating changes (variations) to the original project scope</li><li>Budgeting review and management according to the management guidelines</li></ul><h3>Desired Skills</h3><ul><li>Ability to stay organised and maintain project records</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Cooperative approach</li><li>Mobility mindset</li></ul><h3>Education / Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Engineering University Degree or Equivalent (Civil/Electrical)</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunity Statement</h3><p>At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
