Quantity Surveyor / Cost Controller

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Controller to manage the financial and contractual aspects of real estate development projects from feasibility through to final account. The role involves cost planning, budget control, value engineering, payment certification, and financial reporting to ensure optimal project performance.Key Responsibilities1. Cost Planning & BudgetingPrepare detailed cost estimates and feasibility studiesDevelop project budgets aligned with profitability targetsConduct ROI analysis and cost benchmarkingReview consultant estimates and contractor quotations2. Cost Control & MonitoringTrack project costs against approved budgetsIdentify variances and recommend corrective actionsMaintain cost databases and reporting systemsPrepare monthly cost reports and dashboards3. Value EngineeringIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising qualityConduct cost-benefit analysis for design alternativesReview BOQs and recommend optimised solutions4. Payment & Cash Flow ManagementReview and certify contractor payment applicationsManage cash flow forecasts and project invoicingCoordinate with Finance and Collection teamsEnsure timely payments and collections5. Contract Administration & ClaimsAssess variation orders and cost impactsEvaluate contractor claims and prepare justificationsSupport final account negotiationsReview contractual cost-related correspondence6. Stakeholder Coordination & ReportingPrepare reports for senior management and leadershipCoordinate with internal departments and external consultantsSupport pricing strategies with Sales & MarketingRequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related fieldMRICS/RICS certification preferred (PMP is a plus)Experience5–7 years of experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost ControlMinimum 3 years in real estate or large-scale construction projectsExperience handling high-value projects (QAR 100M+)GCC/Qatar experience preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
