Quantitative Analyst / Trader – Prediction Markets (New Desk) Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Compensation: USD 100,000 – 200,000 base + bonus + benefits Visa Sponsorship: Provided A well‑capitalised, Dubai‑based proprietary trading firm / market maker is building a new quantitative trading desk focused on prediction markets and is seeking a Quantitative Analyst / Trader with a strong mathematical and technical background . This is a rare opportunity to help design, price, and trade a new product line from the ground up , working on binary options–style contracts specifically designed for retail trading . The Opportunity You will be part of a small, high‑calibre team developing trading strategies and pricing models for CFTC‑regulated prediction market contracts . These contracts allow market participants to trade on discrete event outcomes, such as: Federal Funds rate decisions Macroeconomic outcomes Cryptocurrency price movements (e.g. Solana, XRP) This is a green‑field build for the firm. You will have significant ownership over the quantitative framework, pricing logic, and trading algorithms , with close interaction between research and execution. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain quantitative models for pricing and trading binary / event‑based contracts Design algorithms to support market making, risk management, and P&L optimisation Work with real‑world event data, probabilities, and outcome settlement logic Research and implement statistical, probabilistic, and numerical techniques Continuously improve strategies through back‑testing, simulation, and live performance analysis Collaborate closely with technology and trading leadership to scale the desk Required Background Strong academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Computer Science Excellent quantitative reasoning and problem‑solving skills Strong programming ability (e.g. Python, C++, Java, or similar) Experience designing or implementing algorithmic trading models Comfort working with binary payoffs, probabilities, distributions, and non‑linear outcomes A self‑starting mindset with a clear drive to generate trading returns Desirable Experience Exposure to options, derivatives, structured products, or market making Experience with event‑driven or probability‑based trading strategies Knowledge of crypto markets or alternative asset classes Prior experience in a prop trading, hedge fund, or quantitative trading environment What’s On Offer Base salary: USD 100,000 – 200,000 (depending on experience) Performance‑based bonus Private healthcare DEWS contribution Visa sponsorship included High‑impact role with real ownership in building a new trading desk
