OverviewQuality Control Inspector Doha, QatarDescriptionNote: This is regarding a long term contract, 2 to 4 yearsNote: Due to Visa limitations, your application will not be accepted if your nationality is from Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Israel, Congo, Afghanistan, Libya. Exception, if you are already a resident inside Qatar with a valid QID, transfer of sponsorship is possible! If you have valid QID and are Qatar resident, press 'NO' when asked for it.We are looking to hire a QC Inspector for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar position, experience in GCC is desirable. Fluency in English is a must.ResponsibilitiesImplement the elements of the client’s management system applicable to your functionEnsure your safety and the safety of others who may be affected by the client’s business, whether the activity is under your direct control and proactively participate in all safety matters affecting the construction of the projectPrevent pollution to the environment, in the projectCoordinate the inspection and test requirements on behalf of the clientUndertake familiarization with Project and discipline-specific inspection documentation to ensure an understanding of the contract requirementsFamiliar with international Codes, Standards and regularities (e.g. QCS, ACI, AISC, etc)Implement quality inspection procedures on construction activities, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specificationEnsure that the documentation generated by the inspections, tests, surveillance and surveys meet the requirements of the Project Quality Plan, ITPs and project requirementComplete relevant forms and prepare reports on inspections and tests undertaken for inclusion in, and maintenance of, inspection recordsCommunicating effectively with the contractor, third parties and end users at your levelEnsure that all equipment used for measuring and testing is in calibration and such records are availableAssist construction personnel in developing the required quality documentation, including method statements, work procedures, inspection and test plans and inspection and test recordsAssist construction personnel to identify problems and potential or actual nonconformances and to assist in proposing corrective and preventive actionsLiaise with other Field Supervisors and Contractor to be aware of planned and completed construction works to ensure civil tests are planned and performedAssist Quality Engineer to inspect and review quality documents about Concrete Casting, Steel fixing, Anchor bolts, Grouting, Steel Structure erection, Block works, Soil & Excavation and material-receiving activitiesMonitor Contractor’s Concrete Casting, Steel fixing, Anchor bolts, Grouting, Steel Structure erection, Block works, Soil & Excavation and Material-Receiving Quality Procedures implementation and QA/QC activitiesEnsure all civil activities are performed according to Project requirements and that tests and reports are prepared, approved and included in documentation packagesWitness Site & Laboratory Tests related to civil activitiesMonitor that materials and equipment are used in accordance with specificationsCarry out random checks on receiving-inspection of certified batch plants, mixers, lifting gears, etcCheck delivery documents against purchase orders, specifications and material certificatesReject any material not meeting specifications or not bearing an authentic material certificateCarry out random dimensional checks on materialsFollow-up on Corrective Actions to close out non-conformancesMonitor trends of non-compliance to client requirements and feedback on the status of the Contractor’s performanceInitiate Surveillance/NCR’s for QC Engineer’s approvalQualificationsCivil/Structural/Architecture degree and/or diploma with experience in Quality Control in the multidiscipline construction environmentPreferably having formal training in QC and membership with recognized chartered or other professional institutions10 years’ experience in a similar position, experience in GCC is desirableSound working knowledge of QC aspects and various testing requirements related to major Oil & Gas/Tank Farm/Pipeline/Petrochemical construction projectsAbility to work well with contractor’s personnel and colleagues at all levels in multidisciplinary, and multicultural environmentRequirementsLocation: Doha, QatarValid QID and Qatar residency (where applicable) and eligibility as per visa requirementsThe application includes mandatory elements related to required education, experience and certifications, and must match these requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
