Job Summary The incumbent will manage the operation of security systems, control room, and ensure that security systems, procedures and guidelines are implemented and comply with requirements to secure the Group's domestic assets, properties, and staff. They will supervise onsite resources to maintain adequate levels of physical security at all times. Main Responsibilities Ensure that all QNB premises (in Qatar) are secure to prevent any losses. Implement KPIs and best practices for branch security. Promote cost consciousness and efficiency to minimise costs, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank. Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent. Supervise the provision of security services to all QNB premises in Qatar. Assist customers in all queries regarding bank products and seek solutions to their requests. Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units. Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group's objectives. Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal auditors, compliance, financial control and risk when required. Supervise and oversee static & mobile guarding activities as per instructions. Monitor all security operations to ensure compliance with QNB policy and Qatar law. Monitor guard posts to ensure they are manned as per roster, maintain housekeeping, and ensure proper handover of shift systems. Ensure security staff conduct their work safely and responsibly; report deficiencies. Review incident reports on labour unrest, damage/theft, intrusion, and hazards, and inform relevant parties. Institute contingency plans, ensure correct procedures are followed, and control the situation until relieved by the manager. Ensure physical security equipment is operational and personal equipment is accounted for; report deficiencies. Perform on site remedial training and compile reports on security drills and exercises. Conduct security information meetings - "Tool Box Talks" with all shift staff. Display customer service skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, decision making and problem solving. Ensure implementation and compliance of security policies and procedures at all QNB premises. Conduct routine inspections of branches, offices and ATMs to ensure security compliance. Coordinate with security guarding supervisors and SOC supervisors to derive appropriate solutions. Monitor and review SOC operations; produce reports to higher management on violations/issues. Supervise senior security officers and security company staff. Conduct initial investigations of offences and report findings to Manager HQ/Branches. Ensure security equipment (break in alarms, CCTV, burglar lock down systems, etc.) is functional. Assist in conducting fire drills and surprise security check ups to ensure staff awareness of evacuation procedures and security policies. Provide guidance and training on preventive security equipment. Liaise with Police Department/control room as needed. Oversee and monitor bank access procedures; monitor process of ID pass issuance, return, and loss procedures. Monitor security expenditure against budget; recommend action to address adverse variances. Coordinate various security activities simultaneously. Identify professional development areas for self and direct reports and act to enhance development. Control stressful incidents, communicate with management, peers, subordinates, providing security information and updates.
