QC Engineer (Civil Contracting)

If you have a strong track record in site quality control, commitment to industry best practices, and are eager to contribute to high-profile projects, we encourage your application.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities – Civil Construction Quality Control And Compliance</h3><ul><li>Oversee and implement project quality assurance procedures for civil contracting projects, ensuring all work meets regulatory standards, client specifications, and approved quality plans.</li><li>Conduct site inspections and technical audits for structural, architectural, and finishing works, verifying compliance with approved drawings, materials, and workmanship standards.</li><li>Prepare and review inspection requests (IRs), method statements, ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and quality reports in accordance with contract and project requirements.</li><li>Monitor material deliveries, perform material inspections, and ensure use of approved materials as per specification and standards.</li><li>Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation and as-built records for handing over and project close-out.</li><li>Coordinate with site engineers, construction managers, subcontractors, and consultants to carry out inspections and promptly rectify any deficiencies or non-conformities.</li><li>Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions in response to quality non-conformance reports, ensuring continual quality improvement.</li><li>Ensure that site activities adhere to approved health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policy and best practices at all times.</li><li>Liaise with external auditors, clients, and authorities for inspections and project quality reviews as required.</li><li>Stay current with latest standards, technology, and legislation applicable to civil construction quality control and site engineering.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills – Site Quality Assurance And Civil Engineering Standards</h3><ul><li>Solid grounding in civil construction techniques, quality management systems, and inspection methodology.</li><li>Proven ability to interpret technical construction drawings, specifications, and contracts documenation.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly report and escape quality issues within diverse teams and to project stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills, able to manage priorities efficiently and maintain detailed records in a high-paced site environment.</li><li>Keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety, compliance, and workmanship quality throughout all project phases.</li><li>Proactive mindset for problem-solving; skilled in identifying issues, analysing root causes, and implementing robust solutions.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience – Civil Engineering And Quality Control</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of3 years’ experience in a quality control or site engineering role within the civil contracting or construction sector.</li><li>Strong knowledge of applicable construction codes, standards, and quality assurance practices (such as BS, EN, ASTM, or equivalent regional standards).</li><li>Experience in maintaining QA/QC documentation, handling ITPs, method statements, and closing out NCRs.</li><li>IT literacy, with proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.</li></ul><h3>Personal Attributes – Quality-Driven and Collaborative Team Member</h3><ul><li>Ethical, dependable, and committed to promoting a culture of excellence and safety on site.</li><li>Collaborative, open-minded, and respectful of diversity in a multidisciplinary team setting.</li><li>Continuous learner, stays updated with industry developments and applies best practices proactively.Adaptable and resilient; able to respond positively to challenging project requirements and evolving client expectations.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
