Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer with strong expertise in Steel Fabrication (Structural / Plate / Piping) for contracting companies involved in Refineries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer Plants, and Storage Tank Erection Projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance as per project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.F2F Interview in Kochi & Mumbai in 1st week of March.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO, etc.).Review and approve fabrication drawings, WPS, PQR, and welding procedures.Monitor and inspect fabrication activities including:Structural steel fabricationPlate worksPiping fabricationStorage tank erectionConduct stage-wise inspections:Fit-up inspectionWelding inspectionDimensional inspectionFinal inspectionCoordinate and witness NDT activities (RT, UT, PT, MT).Liaise with client representatives, third-party inspectors, and consultants.Ensure proper documentation of quality records and reports.Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, NCRs, and corrective action reports.Conduct internal quality audits and toolbox talks related to quality.Ensure material traceability and review mill test certificates (MTCs).Support site erection and commissioning activities from quality perspective.RequirementsMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in contracting companies engaged in:Steel Fabrication (Structural / Plates / Piping)RefineriesPetrochemicalsFertilizer ProjectsStorage Tank ErectionStrong knowledge of:ASME Section VIII, IXAPI 650 / 620AWS D1.1ISO Quality StandardsExperience in handling client inspections in Middle East projects.Familiar with welding inspections, NDT coordination, and dimensional control.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Good documentation and reporting skills.Strong coordination and communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
