Purchasing Officer

We at Aureus Marine Services are excited to be recruiting for an experienced purchaser to join our growing team in the DMCC / JLT area in Dubai and support our offshore oil and gas support vessels and operations in the Middle East. We are looking for someone energetic, enthusiastic, and with the following base requirements:Job SpecificResponsible for the purchase of supplies, consumables, general and specialized equipment, materials and business servicesProcess RFQs, identify new vendors, negotiate pricing, initiate orders and arrange logistics for timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and servicesAwareness of IMPA codes and standards, knowledge of international trade terms, and country specific customs rules.Keep track of released purchase orders, shipment status, generate an open-order report and support month-end reconciliationsConduct advance purchasing studies by searching and evaluating new vendors in different regionsAssist in arranging routine vessel repairs and operational servicesAssist in coordinating marine logistics and port servicesIndividual SpecificTechnical or Engineering degree3 - 5 years of purchasing related experience, preferably offshore support vessel relatedOrganized and efficientTechnical minded with the ability to work independently and support the teamMay be required to work after hours or on weekends to support operationsAbility to react and respond quickly to unforeseen and urgent requirementsResourceful with high level of honesty and integrityQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with offshore support vesselsStrong understanding of vessel machinery, systems, and equipment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite and planned maintenance systems.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Adherence to ethics and code of conduct.Key CompetenciesTechnical ExpertiseProblem-SolvingCommunicationTeamworkSafety AwarenessPlease email your CV to jobs@aureusdsv.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
