Job Description
The hotel is seeking a purchasing professional to develop, implement, and manage its purchasing strategy to ensure best value and quality.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage the hotel's purchasing strategy to ensure best value and qualitySource, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices as necessaryManage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods and servicesConduct market research and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsCollaborate with department heads to identify purchasing needs and develop specifications for goods and servicesEnsure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAnalyze and report on purchasing performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actionsDevelop and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring alignment with the hotel's business objectivesLead and develop the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and support as necessaryImplement and maintain inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize wasteCoordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of purchased goodsStay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies relevant to hotel operationsDevelop and implement sustainable purchasing practices to support the hotel's environmental initiativesManage vendor performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement programsCollaborate with the finance department to reconcile purchasing records and resolve discrepanciesQualifications:Proven track record of cost savings and process improvementsExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlinesProficient in purchasing software and Microsoft Office applicationsWork Arrangements:Remote Work: NoEmployment Type: Full-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
