Job Description

Role OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychologist specialising in Early Childhood to support the emotional cognitive and developmental wellbeing of young children. The role focuses on assessment intervention and collaboration with educators families and multidisciplinary teams to promote healthy development and early intervention outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct psychological assessments and observations for young children within early childhood settingsDesign and implement individualised intervention and support plansProvide early identification and intervention for developmental behavioural and emotional needsWork collaboratively with teachers learning support teams and parents to support child developmentDeliver guidance strategies and psychoeducation to families and educatorsMaintain accurate clinical documentation reports and case recordsContribute to multidisciplinary meetings and child support planningEnsure ethical practice confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all timesSupport inclusive education practices and child wellbeing initiativesRequirementsQualifications & ExperienceMasters degree in Psychology (Clinical Educational or Developmental) or equivalentProfessional licensure or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdictionDemonstrated experience working with young children (typically ages 06)Strong understanding of early childhood development assessment tools and intervention strategiesExperience working in educational clinical or early childhood environmentsAbility to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsExcellent communication skills with children families and professionalsSkills & CompetenciesChild-centred and developmentally appropriate practiceStrong assessment and reporting capabilitiesEmpathy professionalism and cultural sensitivityAbility to manage sensitive cases with discretion and careOrganisational skills and attention to detailCommitment to ethical and evidence-based practicePreferred ExperienceExperience in early intervention or inclusive education settingsFamiliarity with developmental screening tools and behavioural frameworksExperience supporting children with additional learning or developmental needsMultilingual capability is an advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
