PositionProjects Shop Inspection CoordinatorOffice / DepartmentAbu Dhabi INDReporting toINP ManagerKey Working RelationshipIND ManagerINP ManagerWorldwide Shop Inspection CoordinatorsAdministration AssistantTechnical Manager / Deputy Technical ManagerTechnical AssistantCustomers / Clients / Project Management ConsultantsHe is expected to establish direct contact with Client and other Bureau Veritas Contracting / Performing offices.EducationDegree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HNCTrainingWorldwide Shop Inspection coordination with good communication skill in EnglishBureau Veritas Shop Inspection GuidelinesTechnical knowledgeStrong knowledge of the International Codes & Standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM and BS.Experience with Quality Plan, Inspection reports review, according to client specification and Technical requirements.Application of Codes and standards, project specifications and procedures.ExperienceMinimum 5 years experience in similar fieldResponsibilities / AuthoritiesPrimary FunctionsReview of applicable contractual requirements (Technical standards, specifications etc.)Definition and review of Quality Plan and relevant procedures.Review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, milestones, reporting, logistics, co-ordination procedure, etc.)Definition of Bureau Veritas interventionsSend Instructions to BV performing offices along with Technical specification, Internal Purchase Order and contact details.Coordinate with BV performing offices for scheduling inspectionLiaise with BV performing offices for Execution of inspection, reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCR's) and other applicable deliverablesEnsuring quality of inspection according to BV Quality SystemTreatment of Non-conformities / corrective actionsFollow up with BV performing offices for submitting the reports on timeReview inspection reports for correctness and completeness and submit to Client on time for review and further action.Maintaining internal and external communicationReview and Certify internal invoices for clearing paymentPromotes Bureau Veritas service portfolio to clientsRespects security guidelines of Bureau Veritas and safeguards personal security in the working environmentActively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)Prepare monthly report and submit to Client on time for review and further action.Technical ExpertiseApplication of codes and standards, project specifications and proceduresWithin his field of competency, the inspector is expected to conduct the activities stated in Primary functions.Fully conversant with inspection techniques and able to review reportsAble to verify and approve Non-conformities / corrective actionsAble to identify required Bureau Veritas interventions, based on a pre-defined Quality Plan and according to specified standards.Able to review / appraise inspection proceduresBusiness RequirementsReport to Senior Shop Inspection coordinator about day-to-day work.Report to INP Manager when there is a area of concernAttend meeting with Clients as and when required and maintain cordial relationship with all Clients.Self ManagementMaintains a high degree of expertise through permanent specialized training and knowledge management.Meet project development objectivesShould be Results oriented, Service driven and Problem solvingComply with company regulations, procedures and Code of Ethics.Customer FocusEnsure that Inspection is carried out as per Purchase order / approved drawings / Inspection test plans and other applicable Technical specifications.Maintain regular job related contact with clients and Liaises with client and/or Project Management Consultant with easeUnderstand client needs and work to achieve successful project outcomes.Develop trust and open communication with the client.Regularly monitor customer satisfaction by frequent visit to Client offices.HSE RequirementsComply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group HSE Policies and procedures, client's HSE procedures and practices.Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisorReport immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigationUse appropriate PPE in the work area and be aware of:the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimizeReport immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.maintenance and inspection arrangementsPPE replacement proceduresPerformance MonitoringContinual DevelopmentTechnical and professional competencies through attending specialized training courses and seminarsStay updated on shop inspection coordination related developmentsKPI'sTime taken to deliver the report to the clientQuality of report and Cu
