Job Description

Role SummaryWorking independently, the PM will execute fit-out projects for Successful track record of working on all types of projects. e.g. Hospitality, Hotels, High End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, Education etc. The PM will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination and management of multiple projects by leading multi-disciplinary teams including subcontractors through project activities to meet client requirements and complete projects successfully, safely, within quality, within budget and on time.Role DescriptionPre ContractWork towards creation and execution of business development strategy in line with the business goals of the companyResearch and build relationships with new clientsAttend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trendsSupervising the end-to-end process of tendering functionProject PlanningIdentify stakeholders and plan communicationsDevelop project management plan and scheduleEnsure activities are clearly defined to all stake holdersPlan procurement in line with project scheduleIdentify risks and plan risk management and responsesProject ExecutionSpecifying project objectives and plans including delineation of scope, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting of project sub-contractorsWill interface with Project team to share best practice and ensure effective resource (labour, materials and equipment) utilizationImplementing various operations through proper coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting and construction in the entire processMaintaining accurate records as construction progress throughout the projectsResponsible for overview of the construction sites, and management of vendors and tradesAnalyse and share regular updates on the site operations with the relevant stakeholdersMaintain good communication between the Clients at all timesDirect and manage project execution ensuring all works are properly monitored co-ordinated and controlledAcquire, develop and manage the project teamConduct and administer procurement in line with project scheduleDistribute project information to relevant stakeholdersPerform quality assurance and control throughout the life of the projectManage all local municipality and government approvals required for the operation and handover of the project in line with the project scheduleVerify and control any changes in scope and costsControl project invoicing and final accountingMonitor and control risksCandidate RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture with UPDA Certification (Grade A) preferredMinimum of 8 to10 years of similar experience in an interior fit-out contracting company with UPDA Certification preferred, amongst the overall experience.At least 4 years experience in managing teams of people, preferably on multi-site projectsKnowledge in Basic MEP concepts, troubleshooting and execution.Ability to effectively manage single or multiple projects from award of project through the different stages of implementation, up to handover stageVery strong technical, execution and commercial abilities with sound knowledge of the woodworking business particularly the technical aspects relating to joinery and good manufacturing practices of timber, veneers, hardware, etcProven track record as a successful PM in a fit-out contracting businessGood knowledge of the Qatar market Preferred (i.e. the network of clients, sub-contractors and suppliers)Successful track record of working on these types of projects. e.g. Hospitality, Hotels, High End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, Education etcA very good knowledge of latest developments in the fit-out market. The candidate should be well-versed with the current trends and news influencing market and be able to suggest ideas to boost the Company’s industry presence and build our brandExcellent English communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational market environment
