JOB DESCRIPTION – Project Officer (IT Projects)Job DetailsJob Title: Project OfficerDivision: CTO / ITDepartment / Unit: Transformation / IT DeliveryReporting To: Project Manager / Scrum MasterLocation: UAEJob PurposeTo support the Project Manager / Scrum Master in the planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting of IT projects by ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day project activities, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication across stakeholders.The Project Officer plays a key role in governance, coordination, and operational efficiency, enabling the Project Manager to focus on strategic delivery and stakeholder management.Job AccountabilitiesProject Coordination & SupportAssist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking of activities against defined timelines.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.Maintain and track project action logs, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).Follow up with stakeholders on pending deliverables and ensure closure.Reporting & DocumentationPrepare and circulate daily/weekly/monthly project status reports.Maintain project documentation repository (plans, meeting minutes, approvals, artifacts).Support in creation of presentations, dashboards, and executive reports.Ensure all project documentation complies with organizational standards and audit requirements.Governance & ComplianceEnsure adherence to project management methodologies, processes, and templates.Track milestones, deliverables, and SLA adherence.Support audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation and traceability.Stakeholder CoordinationSchedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and steering committees.Prepare meeting agendas, minutes (MoM), and action trackers.Act as a communication bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and PM.Risk & Issue TrackingIdentify and log risks and issues, and elevate to the Project Manager where required.Track mitigation actions and ensure timely resolution.Tool & Data ManagementMaintain project data in tools such as Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, or other PM tools.Ensure accurate and up-to-date tracking of tasks, progress, and dependencies.Administrative & Operational SupportSupport resource onboarding, access coordination, and logistics.Assist in budget tracking, timesheet follow-ups, and invoice coordination (if applicable).Provide backup support during peak workloads.Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timeliness and accuracy of project reporting.% of tasks tracked and closed within timelines.Quality and completeness of documentation.Stakeholder satisfaction (internal feedback).Effectiveness in risk/issue tracking and escalation.Compliance with project governance standards.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.Experience2–4 years of experience in project coordination / PMO / IT project support.Exposure to banking or financial services projects (preferred).Experience working in Agile / Waterfall environments.Job-Specific SkillsStrong coordination and organizational skills.Good understanding of project management lifecycle.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Familiarity with tools like Jira, MS Project, SharePoint.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.Preferred CertificationsCAPM / Prince2 Foundation / Agile Fundamentals (nice to have).#J-18808-Ljbffr
