Project Manager – WB Operational Risk Transformation – PakistanStandard Chartered is a leading international banking group committed to building a successful and sustainable future for our people, our customers and the communities we serve.Job PurposeAssist the heads of Transaction Banking, Client Coverage and Global Markets in Pakistan in driving the implementation of SCB’s new Operational Risk Framework.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild a strong and lasting network with senior Wholesale Banking management; act as a trusted advisor on Operational Risk matters alongside Wholesale Banking Operational Risk as a 2nd line oversight.Align the Pakistan Operational Risk Framework implementation to the UAE.Serve as a subject matter expert and go‑to person for the business as the first line of defence on all Operational Risk roll‑out matters, in conjunction with WBOR.Conduct business process reviews and challenge senior management to ensure high quality execution.Provide MIS to Regional and Global teams with exceptional quality and detail.Ensure transparency and issue articulation by the business when issues are identified during process reviews.Encourage adoption of best practices by business heads.Qualifications and ExperienceOperational Risk experience.Working knowledge of Transaction Banking, Client Coverage and Global Markets.Broad understanding of Wholesale Banking core products, business network and structure.Background in Risk Management, Operations or Business Finance.Strong interpersonal, networking, communication and influence skills in a multifunctional, multicultural environment.Prior project management and organisational skills.Excellent PC skills and numerical proficiency.Ability to influence, show initiative and creativity.Understanding of WB regional aspirations and strategy to deliver.Quick to recognise gaps and opportunities to improve operating procedures, people development, risk management and infrastructure.Business ContextStandard Chartered offers a wide range of financing and investment solutions to corporate and institutional clients.
