Job Description

Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising engineering and construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications, safety standards, and UAE regulations. The role acts as a technical link between design, project management, and site execution teams.Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & CoordinationAssist the Project Manager in preparing project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.Coordinate project activities between consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.2. Site SupervisionMonitor daily construction activities to ensure work complies with approved drawings and specifications.Ensure that construction works meet quality standards, safety regulations, and local authority requirements.Coordinate inspections with consultants and government authorities.3. Technical ManagementReview and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.Resolve engineering and technical issues arising during construction.4. Cost & Schedule ControlTrack project progress and prepare weekly / monthly progress reports.Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control and variation management.Ensure the project is delivered within the agreed timeframe and financial constraints.5. Stakeholder CommunicationAct as the main coordination point between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and risks.6. Documentation & ComplianceMaintain project documentation including RFIs, inspection requests, site reports, and progress records.Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and municipality requirements.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related field.3–8 years of experience in construction or engineering projects in the UAE.Knowledge of UAE construction practices and regulations.Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.SkillsRequired SkillsProject coordination and planningTechnical problem-solvingCost and schedule controlCommunication and leadership skillsSoftware: AutoCAD, Primavera P6 / MS Project, Microsoft OfficeTypical Reporting StructureReports to: Project Manager / Senior Project EngineerCoordinates with: Consultants, subcontractors, planning engineers, QA/QC engineers, and site teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
