OverviewProject Director ( Qatar / shell experience preferred)Job DescriptionManage projects up to $200 million or may manage a discrete portion of a larger EPC project and only construction project up to $50 M USDAt a time should have handled 2 to 3 projects in parallelMaintain the authority to direct the Project Team within the bounds of Company Policy and engage Senior Management for the resolution of project issues and conflictsMay be assigned during the Precontract phase to manage the preparation of the Proposal in coordination with the Commercial teamDuring the Proposal phase, PM responsibilities include oversight for the preparation of the Estimate, associated support documentation, preparation of Bid and Project execution strategy, and leading Risk and Opportunity management program, among other activitiesEnsure the financial success and technical execution of all phases of a projectRealize the financial and technical success of the project or part of a larger projectManage projects to meet cost, schedule, safety, quality, and contractual requirements to the satisfaction of internal and external customersReview and approve project expenditures, costs, estimates, budgets, financial forecasts, and project schedulesUse discipline and project management expertise to identify and solve a range of project problems/issues within functional groupsManage relations with internal and external customersDirect project execution through project team members and functional managersIdentify, track, and manage all changes in the Scope of Work, schedule, and execution methodology on the project, with all changes to be capturedDevelop, approve, and implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Set-Up, and Project Close-outManage Bid Proposals with the Company Proposals group, Estimating, Legal, and Business Development departments. Lead bid technical and commercial clarifications meetings and negotiations with the client to bring about the successful award of the projectEnsure that the Project Management Team implements lessons learned and that the lessons learned on the project are documented in the databaseAccountable for the productivity of all activitiesQualifications25+ years minimum relevant industry experience, PM: 10+ years minimum relevant industry experience with function experience in EPC and construction projects like upstream and downstream projectsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or another relevant subjectExperience in managing Lump Sum Turnkey and unit rate contract ProjectsEffective and efficient communication skillsData analytics-focused in support of tracking and trending of Project PerformanceAbility to assist Project Directors in problem-solving and conflict resolutionChampion implementation and adherence to company Processes, Procedures, and tools on the ProjectAbility to strategies and foresee potential issuesDigital transformation focused - Demand organization's support with digital solutions on the project as part of innovation, and continuous improvement processesAbility to empower and empathize with team members
