Project Cargo Manager

The Project Cargo Country Manager is responsible for the support development implementation and growth of the Product within the geographic area of responsibility. Coordination with local operation departments and Central Pricing & Support Team in HAM for Special Cargo Movements (SCM) & Project Tenders.Identify and engage new business targets in the Project Forwarding industryInitiate and sustain service provider relationshipsExplore improvement opportunities regarding Project Cargo to Product ManagementEngage GEO leadership for continued supportReport monthly progress to Country Managers on quote status revenue accrued andbusiness developmentCounsel and mentor staff so professional and branch development occur in parallelGrow the PC business within the regionDevelop the regional infrastructure including but not limited to: port terminal andequipment accessibilitySource initiate and attend regular meetings with local vendorsAssist in creating a Project Cargo Tariff for repetitive services like surveys port handlingcarnage customs etc.Maintain ownership of all Project enquiriesExecute and coordinate RFQs with customers and Service ProvidersManage all documentationSupport overseas requests in a timely mannerAttend workshops conferences and group meetings as requiredTravel domestically and internationally as requiredTrain staff on Project Cargo best practices learned throughout industry experience and adapt to the latest trends in safe cargo handling and international tradeUndergo a minimum of 52 hours of selfdevelopment training per yearAdhere to all Health and Safety proceduresEnsure that all shipments are being properly tracked in our systems through the use of thePRJ Service TypeQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of Project related experience7 years of handling overdimensional loads via land barge rail air and ocean modes oftransport or storageEstablished network of Project industry contactsDiplomacy and commercial awarenessGeographic and political understanding of the regionGovernmental regulations regarding project movementOperational Process Standards and procedures within the Project industryKnowledge of permits import/export regulations applications and procedures includingsurveysBenefitsPaid Annual and Sick LeaveMedical InsuranceEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Training and Personnel Development ProgramGrowth opportunities within the companyEmployee Referral Program BonusRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFulltime#J-18808-Ljbffr
